Colin Roberts practices as an International Resources Geo-Strategist. He is a Resources Lawyer, International Commercial and Investment Arbitrator, Accredited International Commercial Mediator, Adjudicator and Expert Determiner, with over 35 years of Multi-disciplinary Resource Industry experience. He is a Senior Research Fellow, lecturer of International Arbitration, and is directing the LLM programme in International Dispute Management at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee.
Originally a graduate of the Western Australian School of Mines, Colin is a Chartered Mining Engineer, A Chartered Petroleum Engineer, a Chartered Scientist and has additional qualifications in Resources Law & Policy (Dundee) and International Commercial Arbitration (London).
He has spent most of his working life in the Developing World, both in his capacity of managing major projects, in his Resource Law capacity, mitigation of Sovereign Risk, advising Governments in Resources Policy and facilitation of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Resources, Energy and Infrastructure sectors.
Colin is currently Director of “Natural Resource Geo-Strategy” (NRG), “Resource Dispute Resolution” (RDR), the “Centre for International Dispute Resolution” (CIDR) and Associate Director of “Element CMC”.
